Vision examination:

In our stores professional optometrists perform comprehensive vision examinations.

During the personal consultation we survey the patient’s needs, and ask about the complaints. Next we establish objectively by the help of a computer the refractive error of the eye that will be a take-off for the final and accurate correction, then we go on with the examination subjectively with the patient’s active cooperation. After putting on the trial frame we find the ideal, individual eyeglass diopter with various lens combinations. If necessary, after the distance correction we correct also the possible reading problems.

In special cases, if we suspect an eye muscle imbalance, we perform a so-called Polatest examination where we examine the two eyes at the same time but separately from each other, establishing whether they are able to cooperate with each other. If there is a discrepancy, we measure it and we prescribe special prismatic eyeglasses.

Cataract and glaucoma screening: We perform the glaucoma screening with a contactless intraocular pressure meter; this is a completely painless and fast process.

Contact lens fitting:

The contact lens fitting is performed by our contactologists in our well-equipped examining room. If you have never worn contact lenses before, but would like to use them instead of your eyeglasses or to wear them only occasionally, we provide you full information about everything related to how to wear your contact lenses.

After the consultation we determine the accurate correction, and we examine with the help of  a microscope if the eyes are suitable for wearing contact lenses. We assess the condition of the tear film with a special lamp. By the received data the contactologist choose the contact lenses which are ideal for you regarding its material, lifespan, water content and curvature. Then the contactologist put a pair of them on the eyes, you can walk with these trial lenses for half an hour. After the waiting time is over, we controll the visual acuity, correcting the diopters if necessary, and by the help of the microscope we check the fitting of the lenses. If everything is well, we go on with the training, where we teach you how to put in your contact lenses and how to take them out. We also train you how to care and store your contact lenses, and once more we talk over with you all the hygienic rules.

Now you can take away your contact lenses. The first control is necessary after 1 week of wearing, when we also answer all your possible questions. If it is necessary to change the parameters of the lenses, we give you new trial lenses. After finding the ideal lenses, an annual checkup is recommended.

Polatest:
Many people suffer nowadays from migrain, dizziness, double vision and they would never think that it could be cured by a simple vision examination or a Polatest.
